So you have an exercise routine that you’ve been doing for, well, a long, long time. And now you find yourself moving. Your entire schedule has flipped upside down and life is feeling a bit scattered. No need to panic. You’ll be back to your regular runs in no time. But in the mean time, don’t let the lack of a runner’s high get you down. Think of this as a good thing. It’s good to mix things up.
If you are packing your own boxes and loading them onto a truck, that’s a workout in itself. Think of that as doing a deadlift. Which by the way, is one of the single best exercises for building most of your major muscle groups. (Just remember to use proper technique!). If you have movers doing the work for you, take advantage of the time by carving out a space to do planks, sit-ups, lunges, donkey kicks, squats, you get the idea….
I know it’s so easy to make excuses for why you can not fit in a workout when you don’t have your routine or think you have no time. Even ten minutes here and there will make a difference. Consider it mandatory for staying sane during what may be a very stressful time. Your family will thank you for it.:)
