Fun Facts

Murden Cove has a layered history. A concrete block visible in the bay once served as the base for a World War II radio tower. The area was also used for boat building in earlier years. At one time, Murden Cove was even proposed as the western terminus for a cross-sound bridge connecting Seattle to Bainbridge Island. The cove was named in 1856 and appears on historic maps under several variations of its name.
